Super Adoption Report

On Sat. Sept. 18, a super adoption event was held in front of the Como Park Conservatory.

Total attendance was 1, 492 people.

Same day adoptions were 40, 26 were dogs and 14 were cats.

Number of organizations participating were 29.

Number of animals at the event were: 137 dogs/puppies and 82 cats/kittens.

Pet Haven was well represented with volunteers from our dog, cat and outreach divisions and a rotating number of cats/kittens and dogs.

We had the help of girl scouts who did an admirable job of handing out fliers to the people who stopped by to get the word out to others about Pet Haven.

A huge thank you to all of the behind the scenes staff from MnPAW, the groups participating and the animals. We will be able to build on the reputation of this event and hope for more adoptions and attendees next year!

Someone to snuggle with?

Perhaps with the onset of cooler weather and it is 'officially' fall now, you will consider taking a cat into your home as a loved, lifelong companion.

We have lots of choices - kittens, older kittens, adults who are young.

Addie

Suzy

Kinsi

Helen

Kittens - young and slightly older -

Chickadee

The last kittens are from a litter of 6. All will have medium length or longer hair, just like mom, Penelope. 4 boys, 2 girls - they are cute as can be.

We also have numerous short haired kittens a little older. Eclipse, Puffin, Klavier, Schnoz, Wilma and Carl are some of them.
All are in foster homes so we know about their personalities and how they get along with another cat or dog. All tested negative for feline leukemia and fiv and have been spayed or neutered, microchipped, dewormed and treated for fleas or ear mites. Adoption fees range from $130.00 - $150.00.

Saturday, 9/18, 10 a.m -4 p.m.

Super Adoption Event

Stop by - see cats and dogs from many different rescues, all available for adoption.

Pet Haven cats will be there (as will the dogs) with a rotating shift of cats on display. We'll have one or two 'adults' or older teen kittens and younger kittens for each shift.

Our cats have been tested for feline leukemia and fiv, spayed or neutered, are up to date on vaccinations and have been microchipped. We treat for fleas and/or earmites and deworm several times also.

Each cat or kitten lives in a foster home and is a part of a family. We can give you unique insight into the personality, activity level and play needs of the cat.

We will also host adoption events at the PetCo in Richfield at 66th and Lyndale Ave. S and Chuck and Don's in Bloomington on Sun.9/19 from 1-3 p.m.

Adoption Sun, 9/12, 1-3 p.m

We'll be at the PetCo in Richfield!

Come in, enjoy all of our cats and kittens. We've busy ones and more laid back ones, ones with shorter and longer hair, ones who would love to be only cats and others who need another to help them play and play.

Life is good in a foster home, you're safe and loved and secure.

Life is so much better in a forever home where you can get more attention, have your own person or persons to dote on you and keep you safe and secure.

Cats? Kittens? Most under 3 yrs. of age. Kittens from 4 months on up.

Klavier and Puffin welcome you!

At almost 4 months of age they are busy, friendly and lots of fun.

Derrick - big, black and handsome is at the Chuck and Don's in Highland through the weekend. He's looking for a home without dogs probably and one who enjoys a lap boy.
